A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until midnight tonight.  Recent rainfall has saturated soils across the area, and with moderate to heavy rainfall forecast today, any additional precipitation could quickly create flooding and flash flooding conditions.

Monitor the latest forecast and warning information, and be prepared to take action should conditions warrant it.  Avoid driving through standing or moving water on roadways, you never truly know the conditions below the surface.

Campus is closed for Monday, February 23, 2015 due to the winter weather impacts:

• All classes and activities are cancelled, and offices closed.
• The Lodge will be open for residents to get meals.  With no shuttle buses running to Timberline, arrangements will be made to deliver meals to these residents.
• The Department of Public Safety remains operational, call 719.255.3111 if you have a campus emergency or need assistance.

UCCSAlert: Armed robbery occurred off campus at Rosemont Apartments. Suspects NOT in custody, last seen northbound on Nevada. Report suspicious persons  by calling 255.3111

To the Campus Community:

Earlier this evening, UCCS and Colorado Springs Police responded to a report of shots fired in Columbine Hall. The report was erroneous. Following investigation by officers, the source of the noise was determined to be a class using hammers as part of a project.

There is no cause for alarm.
