Winter Weather Advisory from 3 p.m. Oct 29 through 9 a.m. Oct. 30

Another winter storm will affect the region starting today and into Wednesday. Snow will be found over the central mountains and across Teller and El Paso Counties this morning, and will spread to the rest of the eastern mountains and plains this afternoon. The heaviest snow will fall Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. It will be very cold through Thursday morning.


WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM MDT WEDNESDAY

  • WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
  • WHERE…Northern Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Southern El Paso County.
  • WHEN…Until 9 AM MDT Wednesday.
  • IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
